Dr. Chattopadhyay is currently a postdoctoral scientist at the Institute for Applied Geosciences, Karlsruhe Institute for Technology. Earlier, Dr. Chattopadhyay was in-charge of the LA (193 mm) – HR (Element XR) -ICP MS facility at the Radiogenic and Heavy Elements Isotope Lab in KFUPM, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Chattopadhyay was a visiting scholar at the School of Natural Sciences, Macquarie University where he worked with Prof. Stephen Foley (Distinguished Professor and Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow) after serving at Amity University as an Assistant Professor.
Dr. Chattopadhyay’s current research interest is on modelling phase changes during biomass combustion in heat and power plants with an aim to understand residue optimization and producing a more carbon dioxide neutral energy across Germany and the European Union.
